Settimo posto di Italia I nella team sprint che ha aperto il Grand Prix a Oberwiesenthal, in Germania, il duo composto da Alessandro Pittin ed Armin Bauer ha recuperato cinque posizione nel fondo dopo il dodicesimo posto del salto grazie al terzo tempo complessivo sugli sci stretti. Diciannovesima piazza invece per Italia II con Samuel Costa e Manuel Maierhofer. La vittoria è andata all’Austria davanti a Giappone 1 e Germania 1. Domenica 25 agosto è in programma una Gundersen individuale.
